Includes personal correspondence, 1854-1920, and land papers, 1816, 1830-1854, of the families of Walter Brice (1804-1871), Robert Wade Watson (d. 1862), Robert Brice Waters (b. 1891), and the families related by the marriage of Robert Wade Brice (1836-1910) to Matilda M. Watson, and that of his sister, Ida M. Brice (1866-1896), to John James Waters (1848-1911). Also contains an "Inventory and Appraisment of goods and chattels of John Moore [d. 1843]"; commonplace book, 1856 and no date, of Robert Wade Brice, containing personal records, including accounts, a list of books, and poetry; Civil War correspondence of Robert Wade Watson, Company K, Palmetto Sharp Shooters, killed at Manassas, and of Robert Wade Brice, 6th South Carolina Infantry, and Company H, 2nd South Carolina Cavalry; World War I correspondence of Lt. Robert Brice Waters, Company H, 2nd Battalion, 52nd Infantry, 11th Brigade, 6th Division, American Expeditionary Force, including 10 signed letters from France, 1918-1919.
